Digital passport to ensure the full traceability of MYNA’s product lifecycle

MYNA is a wireless communication module developed by Tekhne, leveraging WiFi HaLow technology to provide efficient, long-range connectivity.

Aware of the environmental impact of the electronics sector, the project promotes full product traceability through the implementation of a Digital Product Passport (DPP). This system enables the collection and sharing of information throughout the entire lifecycle of the device (from its design and production to its reuse or final recycling) fostering transparency and supporting the circular economy.

The TEKHNE project has been made possible through the collaboration between Blue Room Innovation and Tekhne, combining technological expertise with sector-specific knowledge.
Blue Room Innovation has led the development of the Digital Product Passport (DPP), integrating blockchain, decentralized identity (DID), and verifiable credentials technologies to ensure the full traceability and transparency of MYNA throughout its entire lifecycle.

Meanwhile, Tekhne has contributed its expertise in the design and development of the MYNA module, based on WiFi HaLow technology, ensuring efficient and sustainable connectivity.
Together, both organizations are driving the digital transformation of the electronics sector towards a more circular, transparent, and sustainable model.

 
 
 

The Solution

The solution developed within the TEKHNE project combines hardware, software, and blockchain technology to provide full traceability of the MYNA module throughout its entire lifecycle.
Through the Digital Product Passport (DPP), every stage (from design and manufacturing to distribution, use, and recycling) is securely and verifiably recorded.

This digital infrastructure connects all stakeholders involved, ensuring data integrity and enabling sustainable decision-making. Moreover, it lays the foundation for a new model of production and consumption that is more responsible, circular, and aligned with the European green and digital transition goals.
